A new geomembrane from Permathene. This product has the advantages of Permaliner fPP (flexible polypropylene) including flexibility and excellent UV stability with the added benefit of higher chemical resistance, acids and base chemicals.

Potable Water Tested. Permaflex FPE meets AS/NZS 4020:2005 (certified as suitable for drinking water, aquaculture, etc).

Applications

  • Tanks: Lining membrane for timber, concrete and metal tanks
  • Pond and Dam Lining: Liquid storage, including chemicals, drinking water, etc
  • Irrigation Canals: To prevent water loss in made made canals
  • Effluent: Suitable as lining for farm effluent, including agricultural waste from pig, dairy, etc
  • Baffle Curtains: Suitable for WWTP turbidity barriers and baffle curtains

Permaliner Flexible Polypropylene Geomembrane

Request Price

Flexible polypropylene has been our leading lining membrane for factory fabricated linings since 1996. It is a highly flexible, multi layer membrane which is easy to install and heat weld on site. Best suited for early morning on-site installations due to its softness in higher temperatures, or for factory fabrications. The product has excellent UV life and is certified for potable use (drinking water) to AS/NZS 4020:2005, and is therefore suitable for aquaculture, tank lining and reservoir applications. Flexible polypropylene has lower chemical resistance than flexible polyethylene (Permaflex) and is not recommended for use in linings where chlorine is present.

Applications

  • Tanks: Lining membrane for timber, concrete and metal tanks
  • Pond and Dam Lining: Liquid storage, drinking water, etc
  • Irrigation Canals: Commonly used in these applications
  • Effluent: Suitable as lining for farm effluent, including agricultural waste from pig, dairy, etc
  • Baffle Curtains: Suitable for WWTP turbidity barriers and baffle curtains

High Density Polyethylene Geomembrane

Request Price

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a rigid lining membrane best suited to on-site installations. Permathene Australia supplies materials only while Permathene New Zealand both supplies and installs. HDPE is still the primary lining for containment, both primary and secondary. This is due to its high resistance to mechanical damage and excellent chemical resistance, including hydrocarbons. Providing the base is properly prepared and compacted HDPE can last for many decades. As it is a rigid material it is less forgiving should the ground subside.

HDPE must be installed onsite with all joins heat welded with wedge and extrusion welder.

Applications

  • Mining: Lining membrane for timber, concrete and metal tanks
  • Pond and Dam Lining: Liquid storage, drinking water, etc
  • Irrigation Canals: To prevent water loss in made made canals
  • Landfills: With a high resistance to hazardous chemicals, HDPE has been the primary choice for decades
  • Tanks: Steel and concrete tanks are easily lined to prevent seepage loss. Also used as secondary lining under tanks in the petrochemical industries
